And once the center point is established you can only adjust the curve one in one axis (ie up and down, but not left and right, or vice versa) by shortening or lengthening the road. But it's very tricky to actually get a curve how you want using this method - usually you have to go back and try it again 4 or 5 times to get the exact right angle.
